Considerations for Resolving Chronic SIBO

SIBO is a beast. A beast that I know very well from 6 years of personal experience with it and helping many patients and clients with it.  I'm so glad that phase of my life is over, but I learned a lot from it.  I learned what doesn't work and what does to really get rid of it.

It's often said that 2/3 of SIBO is "chronic" and doesn't respond to treatment.

My experience is that it doesn't respond to the TYPICAL treatment approaches to SIBO, but that it definitely CAN BE resolved!  If SIBO has become chronic (i.e hasn't responded to the typical approaches of antibiotics, herbal antimicrobials, low FODMAP and sensitivity elimination diet, the Elemental Diet, etc. etc.), there's usually an underlying root cause that hasn't been addressed.

In this video, I talk about some of the most common ones I see in my practice although there are certainly more.

I also talk about how one of the roots can be nervous system dysregulation and how neural retraining can resolve that root and make the SIBO easy to resolve (as long as any other roots have been addressed too).

Check it out, and if you have SIBO and are struggling with getting rid of it, please reach out for a free discovery call with me where we can chat about what roots you might have that are preventing recovery.  From there, I can help you formulate a strategy for recovery.
